The Brief
Expanding a remote mining village requires confidence that flood behaviour won't compromise the new development, meaning existing and post-development flood conditions both needed to be understood before design could proceed.
What We Delivered
PTG carried out detailed flood modelling and diversion swale design, using 1D/2D modelling to assess existing and post-development conditions, identify flood mitigation measures, and inform design levels and drainage sizing.
The Result
The project proceeded with confidence in meeting flood management and regulatory requirements, with clear design levels and drainage sizing locked in ahead of construction.
