Staged geotechnical and environmental drilling supporting the greenfield development of a Queensland gold mine.
The Brief
The project required both greenfield site assessment and ongoing environmental compliance monitoring for a new gold mine development, meaning the drilling program had to serve two distinct purposes without duplicating effort or mobilisation.
What We Delivered
Mapstone delivered multiple geotechnical and environmental investigation scopes, including installation of monitoring wells, U75 push-tube sampling, Standard Penetration Testing (SPT) and HQ diamond core drilling, covering both the initial site characterisation and the compliance monitoring program that followed.
The Result
A single mobilised drilling program delivered data for both mine development design and ongoing environmental obligations, giving the client continuity across the site's lifecycle from exploration through to operation.
